Marius Stick Module Options
Marius Boards are available with three different stick module options. Each has its own advantages depending on what you are after.
3-Pin TMR ( K-Silver JS13 Pro +)
Best for: Performance, longevity & consistency
Our most popular option uses K-Silver JS13 Pro+ TMR modules.
TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) is a contactless magnetic sensing technology. Instead of measuring stick position using a physical carbon track like a traditional potentiometer, TMR sensors use a magnet and sensor to track stick movement.
Because the sensing components do not physically rub against each other, TMR modules are highly resistant to the wear-related stick drift that commonly develops in traditional potentiometers.
The JS13 Pro+ offers fast response, precise tracking and excellent longevity, making it our recommended option for competitive play.
Important: TMR sticks can still show a small amount of movement when tested at a 0% deadzone. Raw stick readings have a small mechanical centering tolerance, typically around 3%. This is normal and should not be confused with the progressive wear-related drift that develops in traditional potentiometers.

3-Pin ALPS (OEM)
Best for: Traditional OEM feel
ALPS potentiometer modules are the traditional analog stick design used in factory Sony and Microsoft controllers.
If you want your controller to maintain the familiar feel and response of a factory controller, ALPS is the most traditional option.
ALPS sensors use physical contact against a resistive track to determine stick position. Over time, these contact surfaces can wear and eventually develop stick drift, requiring the potentiometers or stick module to be replaced.

Tradeoff: Traditional potentiometers are wear components and are more susceptible to developing stick drift over time than magnetic sensor options.
Marius 5-Pin ALPS
Best for: OEM tension + advanced magnetic sensing
Marius 5-Pin ALPS modules combine Hall Effect magnetic sensors with an ALPS mechanical stick base.
The 5-pin sensor design adds two additional electrical connections compared with a conventional 3-pin stick sensor. The Marius Board is specifically designed to take advantage of this sensor configuration for stable and accurate stick-position tracking.
Because the position sensing is magnetic rather than relying on a traditional resistive carbon track, the sensors are highly resistant to the wear-related stick drift associated with standard potentiometers.
The sensors are installed on an ALPS mechanical base. This gives you the familiar mechanical tension and movement of the stick mechanism originally used in the controller while gaining the longevity benefits of contactless magnetic sensing.

Our Recommendation
Choose TMR if:
You want our recommended all-around option. TMR provides excellent responsiveness, longevity and resistance to wear-related stick drift, making it our most popular choice for players.
Choose 3-Pin ALPS if:
You want the traditional stick technology and familiar OEM feel you're already accustomed to and don't mind replacing the sticks if they eventually develop drift.
Choose Marius 5-Pin ALPS if:
You want the familiar mechanical tension of an ALPS stick combined with a contactless Hall Effect sensor. This is the best option for players who prioritize top of the line stick feel and performance.
PS4 Marius ( MH4 ) Info
The Marius Board is a custom motherboard that replaces the OEM motherboard in the controller. It has no benefits besides pure speed.
Marius Boards are plug-in only and PC only.
How To Order
The Marius Board is the first option when building a PS4 controller on the website. We also offer a send in service. You can send us a controller to install the board into or send us a board to install if you have bought directly from Marius. There is a $30 install fee.

Pre-Order Launch ( 4/15/2026 )
This is a pre-order, we do not have available stock yet. Expected first batch will be around the end of May 2026. Orders will be completed by order # when stock becomes available. Please refer to this page for inventory updates as we will not respond to DMs repeatedly asking.
If you ordered a PS5 Marius Conversion kit and do not receive it before the official release of the board, you will automatically be first in line when inventory comes in.
